Thread: MAP - Ruger

    MAP - Ruger

    G'day,
This is a small-ish map that should be good for close combat.
Thanks to theripppa for converting a couple of models into statues for me.
    Tested by Noiz and Shadow.

The pub has transparent etched glass doors and windows.

    COOL! A Dirable :P
Can't remember the name of the map we play sometimes but there is a hot air balloon you can go up in and parachute out.
    Is the blimp functional?

Does the dart board work lol

Downloading now anyway but thought I'd ask and to say the ss shots look great!

    Thanks Major.
I wanted to place hot air balloons in it, I even downloaded two 3D models of them but I can't convert them to MOH.
Besides they have been done in just about every PC game I've played.

I thought the zeppelin (blimp) was something different.
It looked much better on the original 45 degree angle, across the corner of the map blocking some of the sun glare, but since I added the rotating propeller it had to be made parallel to the map.
I wanted it to move around the map too, but due to the rotating propeller its cornering would need to be at right angles.

    Ah,

It looks great running around in it, however when you said it was small, I was thinking a speedball type map...and then it loaded up lol
It will be in one of my mappacks soon for gamenight!

LOL To me its small-ish but then I over-do everything.
Funny, I've just read a PM from theripppa who just called it big too and said it would suit ICCC.

    I hope everyone enjoys it.

You know, got to thinking, If you wanted a few quick releases, sieger could be chopped into 3 or 4 smaller maps as well as keeping the full size version.
Could be a series ment to be played one part after another, story line type of thing?
What made me think of it was the scripted objectives mod that you can put in maps via the scr file.

    Was only a thought.

Its a good idea but I wouldn't know where to make the chops to it.
Cutting 1/3 of it already hurt like hell. lol It was full grid size for most of its life.
There was a canal beyond the rail tracks with a full size bridge, huge open area and more buildings beyond that.

The rotunda (gazebo) in my Ruger map was actually made in my Sieger map, outside of the axis spawn pub. But it was too much to compile and I kept getting errors.

You are interested in making Ruger ( dog ) running alive on the map?

Doublekill: No mate, thanks for the offer but that would temp people to shoot at him.
There is already too much animal cruelty in the world.

Due to conflicts with a mod or something on the ICCC server I have revised the ruger map.
Script changes were required but I took that as a chance to also edit the map a little and create new sound effects.

    sorry.
