Yep, so once you have done that, THEN select them the usual way (shift + left mouse click), THEN change the density in the surface info, THEN hit apply.

Aha! (she said as she waved her wooden leg).
Now I getcha. Middle mouse to select the texture info then Shift and left mouse to fully select before hitting the "S" key.
Yes, it appears to be working now. Dang I changed almost everything before (well I thought I changed it all). Now I'll have to do it all again ... the right way.
I think I will write a program to do this for me. lol

Haha, yeah though I didn't specifically say do it 'before'. You can do it after too, so you can see it's been loaded in the window.

Hit S, middle mouse button on texture, shift+click on patch or ctrl+shift+click on brush face, then do the density change. That's how I do it pretty much every time

Thanks again my good man. I've compiled and it worked like a charm. Happy days.

Awesome! Did the translucent setting remove the shadow completely?

  6. #46
No, but it looks like how a normal shadow should look.

    edit:

The ladder's shadow is a bit iffy but acceptable.

    Even better!

Edit: Nice, I'll take a look after work. No government systems playing up today, so it's quiet for me heh. Another reason not to worry if I'm helping out, cos I can't do any mapping while I'm here, just give advice

    Mate, this is freakin' awesome.
I applied caulk_shadow to some walls where the light was seeping through the edges.
That didn't work so I've applied the lighmapdensity to it and the light has gone.

    How cool is this feature!!!!

Yeah, it fixes a lot of anomalies whilst also giving a much better atmosphere. It's great

Then I applied lightmapdensity to the floor texture.

Then I applied lightmapdensity to the floor and ceiling texture.

These last dozen or so posts should be in the other thread about light seeping around wall edges.
