    Funding support

Hi all with recent attacks one option would be to go for real time protection with Malwarebytes we use this but free version with pro version we would get better protection from real time and extended features.......

    https://store.malwarebytes.com/342/p...source=website

If anyone is prepared to donate £20 to AAAA so we can purchase his we would provide a 30 slot server free for 6 months please PM if you are prepared to support this as at present we have no spare funds

Jon there are MANY AV solutions out there. Have you considered Webroot/Sophos? There is a cloud based solution i HIGHLY recommend. It's also available to protect up to 3 devices and it's cloud based. The exe installed on your machine is minimal and it doesn't consume a lot of resources. Plus definitions get updated automatically through cloud. Honestly, I LOVE sophos. We us it at work as well and no lag whatsoever. It has great real time protection as well.

Yeah I agree, when it comes to business, don't mess with the law.
And Jon, I work with computers and servers on a daily basis so I have a little bit of knowledge in this area. I used to remove viruses manually for my job so having a secure AV that's not a HUGE resource hindrance was always important.
Jon, you can also try out a trial of the software to see how well it works for you. Just see how it works on the system, if it picks up anything that malware-bytes doesn't, also look at the memory & CPU usage to make sure it doesn't use too many resources and try it out for a few days.

No harm done in trying, but before you install it, I would make sure you uninstall your other AV solutions so that they don't all conflict against each other because they could. If you decide you don't like webroot/sophos, you can always uninstall it and then use malware-bytes, but when it comes to AV security I recommend doing some research to see which works best for you. I wouldn't just dish out money on something on the fly.

Yeh holding off till the next house keeping reboot as Microsoft Security estentials will need a reboot to remove and we have had enough outages already - Happy with Malwarebytes as its the only one I have try'd that is finding the virus but realtime protection is not available on free version - MS found squat all

Have used AVG a lot in the past and pleased but not used sophos before so tring that out on my own PC and then the server

    cheers
